Videos - Video creator
In the Video creator step, you can turn the content item's still images into motion with AI, or upload your own videos.
On the first card of the step's list, you can choose from two options:
- Generate - Opens the video editor, where you can build a timeline from your images.
- Upload - Upload your own video.
Video editor
Clicking the Generate card opens the full-screen video editor. The available media is on the left, the preview and timeline are in the middle, and the generation settings are on the right. On mobile, open the media with the Media button and the settings with the Settings button.
Format
At the top of the editor, choose the video's aspect ratio: 16:9 (landscape, default) or 9:16 (portrait, ideal for Stories and Reels).
Building the timeline
- In the media panel on the left, select the images you want to make the video from. Use the project filter to choose from images in the brand's other content items too. Use the Upload button to upload a new image.
- The selected images are added to the timeline in order. The timeline can contain up to 10 items.
- Drag and drop the items to change their order, and use the Remove clip button to delete them.
Describing the motion
The AI creates a short moving clip from each image on the timeline, then joins them into a single video.
In the Prompt field of the right panel, you can optionally describe the motion you'd like to see (e.g. "slow, zooming-in camera movement"), and you can paste a link here too. If you leave it empty, the AI animates the images with natural, cinematic motion. With the Write concept button you already know from image generation, the AI can also write the description for you, and the pages related to the prompt appear below the field.
Generation
Click the Generate button to start creating the video. You can follow the generation progress on the video's card.
Video generation uses 3 credits per image on the timeline (e.g. a video made of 4 images: 12 credits). (Learn more: Credit System)
The video created here has no sound. You can add music in the Design creator step, where you can turn the video into a video design.
Editing a video
On a finished video's card, the Edit timeline button loads the video's images and format back into the editor. After making changes, generating again creates a new video and uses credits again.
