Users

On the Users page, you can manage who can work on your brands: add new team members, set their permission level, and choose, brand by brand, which brands they can access.

info

The Users menu item is only visible with the Admin permission level. On this page, you can manage the users of your own brands - the brands you created.

Team member list

Each team member's card shows:

  • their name and email address,
  • the Permission level selector with a short description of the level,
  • the list of your brands with checkboxes - the user can access the checked brands.

Changes to the permission level and brand access are saved immediately. The brands' owner is marked Owner - their access can't be changed.

Removing a user

With the Remove button, the user loses access to all of your brands. This doesn't delete the user's account.

Adding a user

  1. Click the Add user button.
  2. Enter the team member's Email address.
  3. Optionally, enter a password. If you leave it empty, one is generated automatically.
  4. Choose the Permission level (default: Normal).
  5. Under Brand access, check which of your brands they can access.
  6. Click the Add user button.
  • If an account already exists with that email address, the user gets access to the selected brands right away.
  • If there's no account yet, one is created with the password you entered or a generated one. The generated password is shown only once, right after adding the user - make a note of it!
info

You need to pass the login details (email address and password) on to your team member yourself. (See Joining a team)

User roles

Team members' permissions are determined by their permission level. Each user only sees the brands they've been given access to.

Content, calendar, Content LibraryBrand settingsSocial connectionsUsers
Admin✓✓✓✓
Normal✓–––
Restricted editor✓ *–––
Restricted viewer👁 *–––

* Only in the brands assigned to them. 👁 = view only.

  • Admin - Full access, including brand settings, social connections, and user management.
  • Normal - Full access to content, without administrative features.
  • Restricted editor - Can edit, but only in the brands they've been given access to.
  • Restricted viewer - View-only access in the brands they've been given access to: they can't create content or move posts.

Which role should you use when?

  • Admin - For people who also need to manage brand settings, social connections, and the team.
  • Normal - For in-house staff who create content and schedule posts.
  • Restricted editor - Ideal for agencies: the team member can create content, but only in the assigned brands.
  • Restricted viewer - For client presentations: the client sees everything but can't change anything.

The organization owner

The organization owner - the user who created the organization - is a role independent of the permission level:

  • Only they can switch plans, buy credits, and manage the subscription. (See Plans & billing)
  • Only they can grant or revoke Admin permission, and their own permission level can't be changed.
info

You can't change your own permission level or brand access.

tip

You don't need to create a user account to share the calendar with clients: with the calendar sharing feature, you can send a read-only link.
