Designs - Design creator

In the Design creator step, you can turn your images and videos into ready-to-publish creatives: add text, shapes, and logos, apply templates, and build multi-slide carousel posts or videos with music.

Design list

The first card in the step's list is New design: it creates a blank canvas (in Image format with a 4:5 aspect ratio) and opens the design editor. You can change the format and the aspect ratio in the editor.

Each design card shows a preview, the format, the aspect ratio, and the date of the last change. If the design is already used in a post, a lock icon indicates it.

  • Edit design - Opens the design editor.
  • More actions → Duplicate - Makes a copy of the design in the same content and opens the copy.
  • Delete design - Deletes the design.
warning

If you open a design that's already used in a post, you'll get a warning: editing it also changes that post. If you want a new post from it, choose Duplicate; if you intentionally want to change the existing post, click Edit anyway.

The design editor

The left side of the editor shows the media you can use for the design, the canvas is in the middle, and the design settings are on the right. On mobile, open the media with the Select media button and the settings with the Text & style button.

Format

Above the canvas, you can choose the design's format:

  • Image - A single image.
  • Carousel - A carousel post made up of multiple slides (up to 10 slides). (See Carousel)
  • Video - A design made up of video clips and music. (See Video designs)

Aspect ratio

Aspect ratioExported sizeRecommended use
1:11080 × 1080Square feed post
4:51080 × 1350Portrait feed post
9:161080 × 1920Story, Reel
16:91920 × 1080Landscape video

Switching the aspect ratio doesn't lose your previous layout: if you switch back, you can pick up where you left off.

Background and media

In the Media panel on the left, you can choose from the images and videos of the content (and, if you like, of the brand's other content). Click an image to make it the design's background (for a carousel, the background of the currently selected slide).

  • Use the project filter to choose from the media of all of the brand's content.
  • Use the Upload button to upload your own file, which immediately becomes the design's background.
  • If the background is larger than the canvas, drag it to adjust the crop.
tip

If you choose an AI-generated image as the background, its automatically written title, subtitle, and highlight appear right away in the design's text.

Design settings

The right-side panel has three tabs: Elements (text, shapes, and templates), Assets (graphic assets), and Overlay.

Text and shapes

Use the buttons at the top of the Elements tab to add a new element to the canvas:

  • Title - A title (large, bold text).
  • Subtitle - A subtitle (a smaller, supporting line).
  • Highlight - A highlight (short text emphasized with a pill-shaped background, e.g. "New").
  • Shape - A colored block, e.g. as a background behind text.

Drag elements to move them on the canvas - guide lines appear at the center of the canvas and at the edges of other elements to help you align them. Use the handles to rotate and resize elements, and double-click text to edit it directly. Use the arrow keys to move the selected element in 1% steps, or hold Shift for 5% steps.

Text toolbar

When you select a text element, a floating toolbar appears:

  • Font - The font of the text.
  • Font weight - The weights supported by the font.
  • Font size - Use the − and + buttons.
  • Line height - Tight, normal, or loose.
  • Alignment - Left, center, or right.
  • Text color - Preset colors or Custom color.
  • Pill background - A colored background behind the text, with rounded or square corners (or None).
  • Text shadow - Turn it on or off.
  • Uppercase - Displays the text in all caps.
  • Generate text with AI - The AI writes new text for the selected text element based on the brand and the background image.
  • Bring to front / Send to back - The element's layer order.
  • Duplicate text / Delete text

When you select a shape, you can set its color, its corners, the Translucent look, and the layer order, and you can also duplicate or delete it.

Templates

Style families

In the Style families section of the Elements tab, you can choose from pre-designed visual styles. Each tile shows a live preview with your current background and logos.

When you apply a style family, the design's layout and style are replaced, but the text you've already entered is kept, and empty text elements are filled in with the image's AI texts. When you switch to another aspect ratio, the style family appears in a layout that fits the new size.

The Empty tile removes all text, logos, and the overlay - only the background remains.

My templates

You can save your own layouts as templates and reuse them later in any design:

  • Click Save layout, enter a Template name, and save it. The template stores the layout, the styles, the overlay settings, and the logo placement - but not the text or the background.
  • Click a template to apply it to the current design.
  • In the Template actions menu, you can rename the template, update it with the current layout (only for that aspect ratio), adapt it from a version saved in another aspect ratio, or delete it.
info

Your saved templates are private: only you can see them, and they're available only in the brand where you saved them.

Graphic assets

The Assets tab shows the brand's graphic assets (logos, icons, badges, patterns). Tap an asset to add it to the canvas, where you can move, rotate, resize, and delete it just like any other element.

You can also upload a new asset (PNG, SVG, JPG, or WebP) right here with the Upload asset button. Uploaded assets are saved to the brand, so everyone working on the brand can use them.

Overlay

On the Overlay tab, you can set a gradient layer over the background that makes the text easier to read:

  • Position - Show the overlay at the bottom, the top, or both.
  • Opacity - Between 0-100%.
  • Color - Any color, or one of the brand colors.

AI disclosure badge

The AI disclosure badge is an icon in the top-right corner of the design that tells viewers the content was created or modified with AI. It's turned on by default. You can choose whether it appears as an icon only or together with text, whether it says the content was AI-generated or AI-modified, and set the badge's color and opacity. The badge text appears in the brand's content language.

Why does it matter?

From August 2, 2026, the transparency rules of the European Union's Artificial Intelligence Act (AI Act) require AI-generated or AI-modified image, video, and audio content to be clearly labeled, so viewers know they're not looking at real footage. By leaving the AI disclosure badge turned on, you add this label to your designs automatically.

In Carousel format, you can build up to 10 slides in the slide strip below the canvas:

  • Click the next empty slot to add a new slide.
  • Drag slides to reorder them.
  • Hover over a slide and click Delete slide to delete it.

Each slide has its own background, text, and logos; the overlay, the aspect ratio, and the AI disclosure badge are shared across the whole carousel.

Video designs

In Video format, the design is made up of video clips and a music track, with the text and logos placed over the video.

Clips

Choose clips on the Videos tab of the media panel - you can add up to 10 clips in a row to the design. Drag clips to change their order, and remove them with the Remove clip button.

Music

On the Sounds tab of the media panel, you can choose music from the tracks created in the Sound & Music creator step, or upload an audio file. A design can have one music track, which you can remove with the Remove sound button.

Timeline

The Timeline shows the clips and the music one below the other:

  • Drag the music block to set when the music starts.
  • If the music is longer than the video, select on the waveform which part should play.
  • Use the Sound on / Sound off toggle to turn the sound on and off in the preview.

Rendering the video

After you save, rendering the video can take up to a minute - once it's ready, you can download the video.

Saving and downloading

The design editor doesn't save automatically: save your changes with the Save button.

Downloading:

  • Image format - PNG button: the design as a PNG file, at the full size of the aspect ratio.
  • Carousel format - PNG button: each slide as a separate PNG file.
  • Video format - Download button: the rendered MP4 video. The button appears once the video is ready.
info

If you change and save a design that's already used in a post, the post is published with the new version of the design.
