Posts - Post creator

In the Post creator step, you can build posts from the designs, photos, and videos made in the content, and schedule or publish them. The posts you create here also appear in the post calendar.

Post list

The first card in the step's list is New post, which opens the post editor. The cards of the content's posts show a preview, the status, and the time.

  • Edit post - Opens the post in the post editor.
  • Delete post - Deletes the post from the content and the calendar.

Post editor

In the post editor, you put together the post you want to publish: you choose the media, write or regenerate the caption, set the target accounts and placements, and schedule or publish the post from here. The editor also opens when you click a post in the post calendar.

info

Posts that have already been published are read-only: the editor shows their content and settings, but you can no longer change them.

The editor has three parts:

  • on the left, the media you can choose for the post,
  • in the middle, a lifelike preview of the post on every selected account and placement,
  • on the right, the post settings.

On mobile, open the media with the Select media for post button and the settings with the Prepare to publish button.

Selecting media

Use the Designs, Photo, and Video tabs to choose what goes into the post. With the project filter, you can choose from the media of any of the brand's content (projects).

When you select media, the caption fills in automatically: the AI writes the post text in advance for every finished image, so you only need to review it and edit it if needed. Anything you've already typed is never overwritten.

info

If you don't have suitable media yet, you can make a design in the Design creator step, an image in the Image creator step, and a video in the Video creator step.

Creating and editing a design

  • If you selected a photo or video, use the Create design button in the header to make a design from it: the AI texts that belong to the media are placed on it as editable text, and the design editor opens.
  • If you selected a design, use the Edit design button to go straight to the design editor. From there, use the Back to post editor button to return.
warning

If a design is also used in another post, the editor warns you: if you change it there, both posts change. Use the Duplicate design button to make a copy so the two posts stay separate.

Post settings

Account

For the Facebook and Instagram accounts connected to the brand, use the toggles to choose where the post appears: in the account's feed (Post to Feed), as a Story (Post to Story), or both. For a new post, all connected accounts are selected by default.

info

The post's main placement is determined by the media's aspect ratio: 9:16 content is primarily a Story, everything else is a Feed post. You can turn on the other placement as well with the toggles - the same media then goes out to both places at once. On Instagram, 9:16 content can only be published as a Story.

Caption

You can edit the post text directly. With the Regenerate button, the AI writes a new caption based on the brand's tone of voice, language, and general text prompt.

info

A caption is only required if the post also goes to the feed. Story-only posts can be published without text.

If you also use Infinite∞Ad, you can enter the link you want to advertise here. The link doesn't appear in the post: Infinite∞Ad detects it automatically and will advertise this link.

Scheduling

You can choose between two tabs:

  • Schedule - Enter the publishing date and time. In the date picker's calendar, a dot marks the days that already have posts. The summary shows when the post goes out.
  • Publish now - The post is published right after you save it.

Preview

In the middle of the editor, a separate preview appears for every enabled account and placement (e.g. Instagram feed, Facebook Story), showing the post just as it will appear on the platform.

Actions

The post editor doesn't save automatically - save your changes with the following buttons:

  • Save as draft - Saves the post with Draft status for the selected date. A draft isn't published automatically.
  • Save & schedule - Saves and schedules the post: its status becomes Scheduled, and it's published automatically at the selected time. You're then taken back to the calendar.
  • Save & publish - (on the Publish now tab) Saves the post and publishes it right away.
  • Delete post - Deletes the post from the project and the calendar.

The main button (Save & schedule / Save & publish) is only available if:

  • media is selected,
  • there's a caption (if the post also goes to the feed),
  • at least one account is selected,
  • when scheduling, the selected time is in the future.

Troubleshooting

If a post ends up with Error or Partial status, meaning it didn't appear at all, or didn't appear on every selected account:

  1. On the Social connections page, check whether your Facebook connection is active, and if it isn't, reconnect.
  2. In the Brand settings, check whether the brand has a Facebook Page.
  3. Check your page to see whether the post appeared after all, then drag it to a new time in the calendar, or publish it again from the post editor.
